The Bitterness of Winter

Winter is beautiful, but harsh and cruel. I can hardly type these words, for the cold has seized my fingers up. When I threw open the door to my computer room/study, I was greeted by a thermometer so cold that it was frozen and wouldn't update properly. (It's a digital LCD one.) It froze at 30 degrees Fahrenheit. I warmed it up and put it back in the room to find that it was 26 degrees in here! It's 44 degrees now though. When it hits fifty, it will be like spring to me.
If you live in the north country, you get used to the cold, or you die. (Well, not die, but you feel like you will.) I draw the line at 38 degrees indoors though. =P

Title of this journal after a John Lennon tune commonly played around Christmas time. I find it to be a terribly depressing Christmas song, but excellent for titles. No?
Depressing songs aside, I would like to take the time to wish everyone here on DeviantART a Merry Christmas, and if I don't get the chance, a happy New Year. I have a feeling 2008 is going to rock. Big time.

This has to have been one of the better weekends I have had...
We had a small party with a live band, and a nice barbecue. I got a chance to preform as well, which was a lot of fun. It is unfortunate that the someone complained and had the cops come and shut us down. We weren't even that loud... Considering out neighbors generally make more noise than we do. We step out of line and have some fun once, and boom, they call the cops on us. Talk about friendly... At least the cops were friendly.
I wonder if DA allows the uploading on music, and if so, perhaps cover tunes are allowed. I made a few recordings of the songs I participated in, but I
